I've been a customer on this account since 2017, contract ends on 18th Feb, the upgrade offer I got is 145Mb full fibre at £27.50 (49 pence cheaper than a new customer).
This then rises to around £31+ with the April CPI+ increase. I was hoping that customer retentions would be able to get the price closer to Vodafones £25p/m full fibre 100. The guy on the phone didn't seem to care and had no interest in offering anything and wouldn't budge.
The guy on the phone had no interest in trying to keep existing customers. Has anyone else had any luck haggling/negotiating with the customer options team? If so, what were you offered?

Aren’t this ISP also increasing their prices by the same percentage amount in April, I read that they did last year?

So Plusnet charges 10% more for a service that is 45% faster.
Have you rung the Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and asked what sort of deal you can get on a Full Fibre FTTP 80/20 service? That's nearer when comparing like for like.
