Leaving Plusnet

Have been with Plusnet for about 15 years now, always been ok. Our contract ends next month and I am giving some thought to leaving. We have our mobile phones with Vodaphone and i can get a much cheaper package switching broadband to them. If I leave next month which is one month before contract ends am I right in thinking I will pay the last month, no matter what, I am ok with this but would prefer to know I would pay no extra costs on top of this. Before any one says switch to Plusnet mobile its  a definite no, we tried it once years ago and signal was awful, wouldn't work in the house at all. I don't really want to leave but there are better deals around which will save us money. Any advice appreciated

Re: Billing Enquiry

Thanks for getting back to us, I did chat on line to one of your people, but i am still none the wiser as to what our new monthly cost will be after our contract ends on 31/12/22. I also notice it says on my present contract I have your new Super Router, I most definitely do not, I bought  previous version on Ebay. If I sign up again do I have to pay for your new super router. I would like to stay with Plusnet but my partner wants to switch to Vodaphone as we can get a better deal already having mobile phone contracts with them. if you could tell me what the new monthly price will be and do I have to pay for a new super router I would appreciate it. I will then talk things over with her who runs the household budget Wink and get back to you                                                     Many Thanks

Re: Billing Enquiry

Contact Customer Options Team (aka COTS)

COTs is the place to go to if you want to find out anything to do with your contract in respect of leaving, renewing or simply enquiring about early termination charges (ETCs). They have their own number and tend to answer quicker than the general customer service number.

Direct dial numbers

  • 0800 013 2632 (from within the UK)
  • +44 330 123 9197 (from abroad)
  • Available...
    • 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday
    • 9am - 7pm Saturday
    • 9am - 6pm Sunday

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Leaving Plusnet

Hey there @denwyn sorry to see you leave. Has anyone from the Customer Options team tried to retain you with a better deal at all?

If you were to leave, you'd be charged for the early termination fees (if it was a month before the contract) which is a reduced amount of the final bill.
