Moving home and transferring my Plusnet account

I'm looking to move home in around 5 weeks time, so would be considering staying with Plusnet and starting a new contract.
However, the current owners move out at the end of this week, and thereafter the house will be empty for the next month, so I imagine their BT line will be disconnected.
Will I have to pay any reconnection charge when I transfer my account across?
Also, is there anything else I should be doing apart from giving four weeks notice?
