I have just received notice of my latest Plusnet monthly bill, for broadband and landline phone. The Plusnet accounting computer seems to me to have lost the plot!
A PN bill shows three main heading, two charges etc. and a total
Monthly charges: + Other Items: = Outstanding balance:
In this instance, the values for my bill are shown as: £8.16 + £0.00 = £8.16
That is, all the effective charges are in the Monthly charges heading. These are shown as:
Line Rental -£1.71
Line Rental £23.96
Line Rental £1.71
Line Rental £23.96
Line Rental £26.53
Voicemail £0.00
Line Only £0.00
Unlimited Fibre -£1.37
Unlimited Fibre -£19.18
The first four items cancel out leaving just: £26.53 + (-£1.37) + (-£19.18) = £5.98
This is not the value of £8.16 shown as the total on my bill under Monthly charges.
Of course, one might also wonder why the two(?) Unlimited Fibre charges are shown as negative... 🤔
