I'm not so sure, Ofcom published new GC's in April and it's in there.

@MisterW  Maybe but that doesn't mean that ISPs are complying with the requirement. Doesn't look like Plusnet are doing anything about it.

@RealAleMadrid they don't need to do anything, Plusnet do all the porting under the BT umbrella. There's a single CUPID covering the BT group

@MisterW  So are other BT group CPs complying with the OFCOM requirement?  A CUPID sounds lovely but why are Plusnet not allowing ports to Voip?

@RealAleMadrid  I don't know, AFAICS they should be , I've asked the question in the SU space and am awaiting a response

"I wouldn't worry too much about that. When I had FTTP installed with my new ISP it said that it would be overhead, when Openreach turned up they were most surprised that their order said I would need a duct. Needless to say they were happy that the job turned out easier than they anticipated and all they had to do was contact the office and all was sorted for overhead install"

I read "served by........." as meaning the ducting is already in place which it is not. My main concern is not to end up in my neighbours' situation. Their landline was disconnected and then the engineer found one or more poles were designated not to be climbed. So job rebooked as requiring a hoist. Engineer turns up minus hoist - further delay without service. I don't want a repeat of that with engineer turning up at the door having already disconnected our landline.

@MisterW any news from the SU space about the right to port?

I had a mooch round the ofcom site and found mention of the right to port in Phones and Internet under Information for industry but nothing in Phones and Internet under Advice for consumers.

Re: No FTTP deals on offer in my account but Openreach says FTTP is available

Plusnet are not invloved directly in the porting to voip, since they operate using the BT umbrella porting team. So information from PN is very sparse. Having said that, this thread https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Order/Unable-to-port-landline-number-after-signing-up-to-Full-Fibre... is being monitored closely to understand the current situation

Re: No FTTP deals on offer in my account but Openreach says FTTP is available

@MisterW Thanks for the link to that thread which I will follow. Pleased to find Andrews & Arnold getting a favourable mention. I liked the look of them when I did my initial voip research earlier this year. Their sales team responded quickly to my out of the blue enquiry about the timing of porting albeit on the assumption my land line would be available after switch to FTTP. That was my fault because my ignorance meant my question was not precise enough.
