Overcharged when renewing?

I recently was coming to the end of my contract when asked to renew, change broadband package, or pay on a monthly basis at a higher rate. I changed broadband package for a new contract before the time but then was charged for the next month on the higher broadband rate before the change over to the new package. What do I do to rectify this as all I could find was this forum or phone but the phone is not an option for me (I miss the days of just  being able to email a company when you had a problem instead of contacting on twitter).

I believe do to my new status on the forum having never used it before I am unable to message. When clicking my private message tab I receive this message.

Hi Adam,

I seem to be having the same problem. My renewed contract started on the 9th of September for £17.99 per month, but the bill generated by the system says £30.07
