Renewal offer

Hi, just out of contract with plusnet and looking at options.

Currently on unlimited fibre extra paying £71.38 per month (£30-fibre/£28.69-line rental/£12.69-unlimted calls)

When I log in to see my renewal price (around the region £26 per month, dependant on contract length) it states that phone line is included. Would this suggest this price includes the actual line rental and current call package, so 'all in'? Just don't want to click through and have the contract renewed without seeing what the final monthly ammount will be.

Dependant on answers, does this seem like a decent offer.

Thanks, Sam

@Sam1981 the price will include line rental BUT not the call plan

@Sam1981

You could always phone in to confirm. Try PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632

Be aware that you will lose the landline at some point in 2025 (year end at the latest). PN will move you onto a SOGEA (internet only) connection when the time comes. If your phone (and number) matter to you you'll need to create a VOIP account with an independant provider of move to an ISP who does both phone and internet.

Re: Renewal offer

Thanks for your help. Yes I've read a bit about the end of the current phone line system, and think i will probably just run with the current service until its withdrawn by whoever I'm with at the time.

I'll call plusnet if I think renewing is an option. Just trying to compare what's available online first before beginning the often longer process of spending time on the phone back and forth to various providers, and feel its a little less clear at the moment what's on offer as different providers word what's included/not included quite differently, esp with the landlines switchover!

@Sam1981 ....... "I will probably just run with the current service until its withdrawn by whoever I'm with at the time"

I believe that because of the Openreach stop sell on WLR lines (copper phone lines) the only way you can keep a traditional phone line is renew your existing Plusnet service, so you cannot change to a different provider.
