Still on old contract after new package was supposed to be active on 16th April?

I've renewed my fibre contract but without the phone line (and hence call-charge package). An email stated this would take effect on the 16th April but I still have a landline signal, so which contract am I on?

The phone line may still have a signal for a while, but if you dial 17070, option 1, I have a feeing the number you hear won't be 'yours', and you will find you won't be able to make or receive calls. It takes a little while to 'kill' the connection completely.

It reports my number and I can still send & receive calls...

In that case, it sounds like something has gone wrong. I suggest you call Plusnet - but maybe not while Tuesday, as it is the Easter holiday, and you may not get a coherent answer.

I've looked into this for you, and it seems that the modify order we placed for your service to go broadband only appears to be stuck and we haven't received any updates from Openreach about this issue. I've submitted a request to follow up on the order, and we will contact you as soon as we receive any information from Openreach.

Without me having to do anything I have received an email to say Plusnet has raised the issue and with the following message:

I am really sorry about the delay to your order. I have contacted our specialist team who will be in touch with our suppliers to get you an update as soon as possible. You should expect a contact back from us within the next 24 working hours, at the very latest. 

 I'm impressed!
