Hello Anyone else had issues with Topcashback declining cashback? especially for broadband? I have been fighting for almost 10 months for £200 cashback and just not getting anywhere! I was a new customer with Plusnet and took out the offer on a comparison site through Topcashback June 2023.
I was first told it wasn't tracked so I registered all my details, Plusnet username etc. Then waited 4 months for them to say it had been rejected by Plusnet with no definitive reason given! If someone could help I would be very appreciative? £200 cashback is a lot to miss out on especially as it seems Topcashback are trying to get out of paying it and they are not helpful at all.
Many thanks in advance.

I know that this doesn't help you, but I gave up with cashback a few years ago.
Topcashback was the one that I used primarily, and the sums of money involved were nothing like the £200 that you say you are owed.
I spent so much time and effort chasing, challenging and receiving back unsupported rejections, that I decided it just wasn't worth it any more.
The only offers that I will now take in to account are those offered directly by the company I would be buying the product or service from, such as Plusnet's pre-paid card of Amazon offers.

£200 is an awfully large cashback offer, did you keep evidence of the offer?

I should have a screenshot somewhere, I think it was on the claim amount when I booked it in. It was through Topcashback with compare broadbands.

it would just be nice if plusnet could confirm tracking and then I have some evidence to go back to topcashback and say check again!

I have used quidco for a few years and no problems but have tried topcashback a few times and 90% of the time they have issues with tracking cashback and declining cashback, so I think it may be a topcashback policy lol mess the customer about then hopefully they will just give up! Their customer services team are very script and robotic so dont expect I will get anywhere.

I have a different experience with TopCashBack in that I have found them extremely helpful.
A recent Canon purchase was rejected so I put in a claim. Less than three months later it was resolved.
One thing I have found is that it is always best to clear cookies and cache with the site in question before clicking through from TCB.

I guess everyone has their own experience but with me they were much use as a chocolate teapot! Still find it hard to believe that even with proof of purchase and link history they can still decline regardless of cache clearing etc, and to be told that plusnet rejected it without giving me a valid reason...that is the tough pill to swallow after waiting for 4 months for that amount. Even when I asked again it was the same response they just rejected it...usually an answer is given explaining why so beats me why they rejected it or chose to.

Do you think that Plusnet could look into it for me? or fight my corner?

@Rendave being realistic, you say a £200 cashback, but against what contract? What did you sign up for, multiply the monthly price by the number of months, what is that total - even better the percentage discount = is that really realistic?

From what I recall it was £200 for a 24 month contract with their Full fibre contract. Using the Compare Topcashback broadband. There were others offering up to £206 at the time. At £26.99 per month, If they cannot offer that amount why run it? I have noticed now that their cashback is down to £60....maybe that was the issue.

I'm just wondering if this offer was put up in error, by either Plusnet or TopCashBack.
I'm sure that we have all read stories in the past where a few people have bagged a bargain on Amazon, (for example), because the person posting the listing got the decimal point in the wrong place!
Were there any Ts & Cs when you signed up?
The "small print" in many contracts/agreements contains the phrase: "E&O.E." - Errors and Omissions Excluded.
If that was the case, then many companies will accept their mistake and honour the offer, but I don't think that they are legally obliged to?
