Using Plusnet webmail after leaving Plusnet

HI,

I will probably be leaving Plusnet after many years.   I have read varying answers about retaining plusnet email after leaving.

If I leave PLUSNET , Is there an option to retain my xxxxxx@plusnet.com email account via webmail?

If Yes then is there an ongoing annual fee to pay to Plusnet.. ? £?

Can anyone plus advise the current company policy.

Is it government policy to make providers let ex customers retain email service ?

Thanks

kp

PN have previously announced they'll be ceasing all e mail provision in 2023.
Others have posted that the prior arrangement for retaining an e mail only subscription,
has already been withdrawn.

@keppy2008 It IS still possible to retain your PN email address(es) when you move - see previous topics on this subject for full details (on the email board).

There is no charge for this facility.

It is not something the government can realistically legislate for - it still costs the losing provider to maintain the service, and if they decide as a business decision that it is not viable, they won't provide it. I know Virgin (for one ISP) disconnect you after, I think, 90 days.
