cancelled username and referral

so when we upgraded to full fibre recently, someone at plusnet took that to mean we wanted to cancel our account, so our old username was ceased. which of course means we had to have a new one created (only took 3 attempts, but that's another story).

we had advised a neighbour to use our OLD Plustnet username as 'referred by'.

presumably, as the old username is now an ex-username, that referral will just be exiled to some bin or other and we'll see no benefit.

Hey @JohnofYork,

I am sorry to hear about the issue with your account, but to answer your question I have looked into your closed account and transferring the referral shouldn't be a problem. However, I'll need to wait until the new account to be live before making the change. Once the new account is live, I'll ensure the referral is transferred for you.

all being well our neighbour should go live on Wednesday, as long as they're not affected by the same exchange header issue that left us internetless for 3 days.😏
