I have the same issue that many seem to have with regards to the username being setup@plusdsl.net, I have followed the instructions to change it to my details but every time it connect it reverts back to the setup username?!? Any advice?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@MJL86 Is this a new connection (to Plusnet) and have you been advised that it is 'live'?

OK. I don't know which method you used to set your username, but be aware it can take up to 23.59 of your 'live' date for PN's system to 'get all it's ducks in a row'. Try doing a factory reset on the Hub - press a paper clip or similar into the reset hole on the rear of the Hub, keep it closed until the light goes green, and then wait 5 minutes or so for it to complete the reset.

If it's a Plusnet-supplied hub you don't need to change anything, it's set up automagically.
If you do want to change it you probably have to "disconnect" first, you can't change that field while authenticated and connected. And remember to save it too!

@HPsauce The OP is a new customer - I suspect the PN systems haven't all lined up properly yet.
