Re: Bt homehub router

@Chris34

Can you provide a bit more detail behind your question? As if you are joining plusnet with either Fibre or Full Fibre product the supplied Hub two will support both without the need for any additional equipment

Fibre - DSL port to your master openreach socket

Full Fibre - WAN port to the openreach ONT

The BT Hub might not support Full Fibre

Re: Bt homehub router

@Chris34  Welcome to the Plusnet Community Fora.

You can use a Home Hub 5, the original Smarthub aka Smarthub 6 and Smarthub 2 on your Plusnet ADSL or FTTC service. From informal information that I have picked up I don't think that it's possible with the very latest model.

Any problems just ask, including specifying which hub that you wish to use..

Re: Bt homehub router

@Chris34

Yes, this will work on ADSL and FTTC, I keep a fully configured for Plusnet service one as a spare in case I have problems with my Hub 2. It is a version of the original BT Smarthub.

It will not work on Full Fibre (FTTP).

Edit.

Why are you thinking of buying one? Don’t be fooled by the guest network feature. Unless the firmware has been updated this is a feature designed for pubs, cafes etc, the guest network is open, it is not password protected.

Re: Bt homehub router

It doesn't like my username when I enter it into the bt hub. I'm with zen internet. But it will accept @plusnet odd...

 I'm with zen internet

Like all BT Hubs it will not work with any other internet provider other than a BT group company. (Plusnet, EE and BT)

I would not buy this aged BT Hub over newer products.
