FTTP and ASUS ZenWifi BD4

Anyone know much about setting up an Asus ZenWifi BD4 mesh with Plusnet FTTP?  According to the manual, it seems to support PPPOE and acts as a router so do just need to plug it into the ONT and that will act as a modem (allowing me to ditch the plusnet router)?

I've not actually been able to try anything with it yet as 8 hours after her FTTP was setup, a cable clearly fell out somewhere in the street furnature or the exchange and we are now waiting for an Openreach guy to come out and plug it back in!

Also how many bd4's do you have?
