Thanks for getting back to us @andyt1970, so far things are looking more stable and seems to coincide with you connecting to the test socket, so may be worth staying in this set up for the time being and monitoring to see if the stability remains:

 

 

Keep us updated on how things go and if the drops start again whilst in the test socket, we can progress this and get another engineer sorted if needed.

3 weeks of pure misery, constant disconnects and drop outs. Terrible wi-fi speeds and I can't do my job working from home Sad

 

I'm moving the router back upstairs tonight, back to my original set up as having the router downstairs plugged into a micro filter has made NO difference. Thanks Plusnet and BT Openreach. I won't be renewing come 31st March 2022.

 

Every time I get disconnected from my work, I have to wait 15 minutes as when I try to "log back on" due to being disconnected, it says "User already logged on" and there follows a 15 minute wait to get back on and work.

 

This is using the wi-fi from the router to connect my works laptop (upstairs in the lounge) and also my desktop PC (via the TP-Link RE220 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender) as I can't use ethernet anymore as the bl**dy router is now downstairs as advised by Plusnet AND BT Openreach.

I've tried "switching channels", rebooting, resetting and even used a "wi-fi analyser" app., but it stinks.

 

And why didn't the BT Openreach engineer upgrade my master socket when he came? Like I said the front plate is only held on with one screw now, heaven knows how he lost the other when unscrewing it 😡

@andyt1970 Looking at that Help Desk shot, everything as far as the Hub is spot on, apart from the D/S noise margin which could be a little low, and also the uptime, which, unless you have turned the connection off very recently, indicates that you are loosing sync.

Unless you have turned it off, could you provide as much of the WAN tab on the Event log as possible?

Thanks Andy, whatever PN/BT are telling you, there is something wrong with the connection before your Hub, which needs a proper investigation - where you have the Hub will have no effect on the PPPoE connection.

I'm still unplugging it and bringing it back upstairs tonight as we have an electrician coming tomorrow and he needs access to the consumer unit in the hall cupboard and having this router sitting on a stool outside with all the darn wires everywhere isn't practical.
