Hub 2 and Windows Networking

I recently went from a Hub One to a Hub 2. I think it is related to my backup solution failing.
Basically I use a piece of software (EaseUS Backup) to copy files from my Windows PC to an attached server using an location like \\server\Backup. The Linux server is using Samba. This worked fine until (I think) new router was attached. I can ping from one machine to another.
But I suspect that the Hub firewall is somehow blocking the protocol/ports for this. Indeed, it started to work ok when I disabled the hub firewall briefly. Has anyone seen similar and know the correct thing to do to enable this in the Hub firewall?

Re: Hub 2 and Windows Networking

Or could it be Windows Private/Public network settings? In Public mode things are not discoverable, so change to Private.
