But it lacks a feature the Hub1 had... for opening ports the hub1 had a list of common applications / ports and one included incoming VPN. Hub 2 lacks this.
But what i do like about the Hub2 is that you can specify dns servers to use. Do these have to be external IPs or can i use internal? - only ask as i have a nameserver running locally for local domains which would be handy for the router to dish out in dhcp replies.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

You can use an internal IP.
Specifying custom DNS in this fashion only changes the DNS that is assigned to local network clients as part of the DHCP lease. It does not change the DNS addresses assigned to the WAN/PPP interface.
The list of custom applications on the Hub One is very dated, and trying to maintain something similar for Hub Two would be a headache to say the least e.g. VPN is far too vague. What VPN? Different VPN's use different port assignments.

Definitely a good bit of kit so far, firmware is very impressive.
Will you ever introduce custom DNS into the hub 1?

Can i ask that it be included as standard in the firmware for any new router models from now on then? - It's a great feature for us nerds and would have saved me writing my own dhcp server.
