OK. In that case, can you navigate to the page in the screenshot below, click the 'Export' button, and attach the result to a post, please?

Re: Keeps dropping out?

From that log, it is evident that you are losing DSL connection at an unacceptable frequency. Report the fault again,

@Tina11192 - can you please revisit this subject?

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Thanks for the update as it is getting very frustrating.  Don't need this sort of stress at our age.  Just to check I also disconnected the VOIP from the router just in case, but problem persists.

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Reconnect the phone - that is not the issue. As said, please report a fault.

Re: Keeps dropping out?

@Surfer have you tried connecting the router to the test socket (using a filter) by removing the master socket cover ?

Thanks.  I prefer not to interfere with any electronics especially when it does not belong  to me.

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Unclipping the front of the OPenreach master socket and using the test socket is a standard troubleshooting test that's expected of a customer. It eliminates the possibility of the fault being the customers responsibility.

The later Mk5c faceplate also have a tendancy for a poor connection as the contacts are not gold plated any more.

Re: Keeps dropping out?

I appreciate your input, but my thoughts is that the box is the property of Openreach and not a customer access box and also not my responsibility to do checks by opening it up.

So what are you going to do to resolve this issue?

Re: Keeps dropping out?

The property of Openreach ENDS at the TEST SOCKET,

The removable faceplate and any internal wiring is your responsibility.

Watch this video to see how simple it is - YouTube : How to connect to the master test socket

It will be less daunting than you think  😀

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Plug the cable you removed from the master socket before removing the faceplate into the test socket?

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Unless you have a dual socket faceplate , in which case you will need to plug a DSL filter into the test socket and then the router cable into the filter

Re: Keeps dropping out?

Before I even got to the socket, the router start flashing orange again and internet lost!  However on going to the 5C socket, there is no way I can get the front cover off.  The right side of the socket is right up against the frame of the window so cannot press the clip to release the front.
