New Router Keeps Restarting

This is a new post about an old problem. I had an issue when uploading multiple files via FTP my Hub One router would crash. @bobpullen kindly sent me a new router, however recently this has started restarting with a watchdog reset almost on a daily basis. I am led to believe the firmware on the replacement router is very old, however I don't think I can update it myself. Unfortunately I no longer have my original router otherwise I would have swapped them over.

This is becoming a real problem as the router takes about 10 minutes to restart fully. Any ideas?

Re: New Router Keeps Restarting

Hi @RoryG

other than a replacement Hub I doubt you can bypass this error.

0x2: watchdog reset caused by kernel not responding to interrupts.

Is the error only happening with uploads still or randomly? Maybe set the upload to a slower rate.

Have you considered buying your own modem/router, either a secondhand BT Hub or a new 3rd party device from a retailer?

I believe @bobpullen is currently on holiday.

Dan

Re: New Router Keeps Restarting

Hi Rory,

Could you PM me your username and hub serial number?

I'll flag to Bob when he's back and replace it for you as a hub with firmware that old can't be updated.
