OpenReach Modem Replacement

Hi
From previous articles I read that broadband providers no longer supply a separate Modem but instead supply a Modem and incorporated Router.
Where I live there is Fibre to the exchange but it's phone lines to from there to the door.
I'm looking to replace my current OpenReach Modem and Netgear D6200 Router with another Netgear product or at least one with better Wifi connections and range. I'm looking for suggestions as I've read that some modem + routers do not work with Plusnet.

@IJFleet Welcome to the Community forum
From your description you are on a FTTC connection, regardless of whether the fibre cabinet is located at the exchange or somewhere nearer to your home.
What you need is a combined ADSL/VDSL modem/router. Why are you so keen on having a Netgear version? Anyway the model you buy is totally dependant on your budget and your personal ‘bells and whistles’ requirements. I would suggest that you pick out a few and ask for comments on these particular models.
Have you considered ringing the Plusnet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and seeing if you can negotiate a new Hub Two for the P&P charge in exchange for say a new contract? This phone number is generally answered quite quickly and you don’t get if you don’t ask?

Netgear is my preferred choice I'm not limited to it. I've used Belkin stuff before I've just had more Netgear components and peripherals and for me they are a trusted brand.

Hi
I'm looking for some advice on getting a new Modem/Router to replace my current OpenReach Modem and Netgear Router with just one combined unit. Any advice on the linked item below or any suggestions on something that is Dual Band 2.4 and 5Ghz that has good distance Wifi coverage would be appreciated.

are you not wanting to use the openreach modem for any reason or just want a one device solution?
Keeping your modem will allow you to use a mesh or router which supports wifi 6 (if required) and still be usable when you you migrate to Full Fibre, this would be cheaper than a combined device. Just need to buy a mesh/router which supports a PPPoE WAN connection.
TP-Link have a good reputation and the device you have selected will do you well.

Thanks for the Reply Dan
The Open Reach modem and the Router were setup and installed in Jan 2015 so it's old. I'm thinking having a more update piece of Tech will help reach some of the further areas of the house where WiFi coverage isn't that strong. I'm not against having a 2-piece solution but there are no plans to upgrade the Phone infrastructure so that there is Fibre to the door. I'm not moving house any time soon if ever so It's fibre to the Exchange and Copper wire to the house. I'm an online gamer and also wonder if having a 2-piece solution will have an effect on latency, I doubt it.
If you have a good modem in mind then I'm up for options.

Hi,
not being a gamer I would not be the best person to recommend a router for that purpose.
Not aware of any technical reason why the openreach modem is not still not up to the job other than age not being on it's side (others may have differing views)
Lots of reviews on site, in the end it's down to how much you wish to spend.
