Thanks @adam945 , appreciate your helping out. We are out in the countryside and it gets a bit poor at times. Over the years I've had new master faceplates, new wiring, new connection box on the eaves, think they might even have rewired from the wooden pole about 30m (ish) away. It's never 100% and we mostly accept that. But I had gotten used to the Sky Q router and forgotten how the Plusnet one could be iffy. I'm not sure of the correct technical terminology.  Last night was a bit poor weather wise and we had 3 or 4 power outages.

Why not treat yourself to a BT HH6. will cost you all of £5-£15 on auction sites?  For trifling cost, and using Baldrick's excellent setup guide on this forum, many of us enjoy great performance with none of the Hub One issues.
