Hi all, having an issue with my broadband speeds. Only getting slow speeds on my Windows 10 gaming PC (2-4Mbps), other devices like my phone etc. are getting more like 60-70Mbps (what I'm paying for).
-occurs randomly
-occurs on wifi or via ethernet (hard wired and via powerlink adaptors)
-Occurs in safe mode with networking
-all drivers and updates are latest version (checked manually)
-disabled all firewall and other security software, no effect
-Network adaptor configuration confirmed as 2.5Gbps full duplex
-Large send offload IPv4 and v6 disabled
-Windows auto tuning set to normal
-SFC scan run
-peer to peer update disabled
-startup programs disabled
-router settings checked, no restrictions evident for the PC
-Checked for unknown connected devices
I'm at a loss what could be limiting the speeds. Any help would be appreciated. Have run things like CC cleaner and Fortect paid version, no effect. Thinking hardware is on its last legs, despite rig only being 4 years old.
Windows 10, Ryzen 5 3600 on B550M MSI Mag Mortar Wifi with Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE family controller.
Nothing is downloading/uploading during the test, task manager shows the network utilisation as minimal.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you

Have you looked at the CPU temperatures and checked that they don't reach 80'C ? (causing thermal throttling)
These two videos might help you with what to look for -
