internet disconnection

During the past week,my router has disconnected 3 times and I get an alternative flashing of blu and orange lights.
The first time it happened one of plusnet tech guys helped me to solve the problem,but it took some time.
The last 2 times I have managed to solve the problem myself,but its time consuming and frustrating since I have to keep repeating the process before the internet becomes connected again.
Since this is a recent problem,I am querying why the router switches off and there is alternate orange and blue flashing lights every fee seconds,is there a fault with the router?
whatever the problem,its driving me “mad”
