A few week's back a couple of us took a trip down to the Big Smoke to take part in a Plusnet-organised 'Insight Session'. The idea behind this session was to provide certain people from the industry the opportunity to come and talk to us/each other about the Internet. The discussion on the day covered a wide range of topics, from broadband demand/speed and performance to traffic spikes and Internet trends. We also talked briefly about some of the things we do, and some of the products and services we provide to customers. The session was attended by me (Bob Pullen/Plusnet Digital Care), Ben Trimble (Plusnet Quality & Service Team), Daniel Booth (Editor of Web User Magazine), Ken Lo (Technology blogger for neondragon.net/Ken's Top Tips), Barry Zubel (Plusnet Customer and former Community Forum moderator) and was chaired by Matt Warman, the Consumer Technology Editor for the Daily Telegraph. The session was recorded by Pete Sipple of FrequencyCast who also podcast interviewed some of the attendees after the session. It was an interesting event and our PR agency Kazoo were very accommodating (thanks especially for the abundance of breakfast sundries and coffee - me and Ben were certainly in need of the latter after the early rise and subsequent 2 hour train journey!) The session lasted just over an hour and the full audio from the the session and a shortened 20 minute feature edited by the folks at FrequencyCast can be found over on their website. Alternatively here are the direct downloads for the full audio and edited cut. The event was also summarised in a short feature that appeared in Show 70 of FrequencyCast's online radio show.
