Although the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon has finished for another year, that doesn’t mean you can’t relive the fun and excitement of the day. This Sunday at 7am on Channel 4 you’ll be able to watch highlights of the race that York Mix say is now the world’s best marathon.
With an international field of runners taking part along the crowd lined streets of York the race was a success for the runners and the charities that many chose to sponsor. With elite runners from around the world the field was full of top class athletes, including Boniface Kongin and Cosmos Kigen, from Kenya. Keep your eyes open for the celebrities taking part, from Matt Dawson starting the race to Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw and former England international Danny Mills participating in the race and relay. Our very own Plusnet Joe was also at the race, encouraging the runners and talking to the crowds.
