Plusnet is Loving Sheffield Back TODAY!
With Valentine’s Day almost upon us, Plusnet has an amazing event lined up TODAY at Sheffield train station. Members of the Plusnet team will be loving Sheffield back in a big way, transforming the station with roses, champagne and even live music! Our photographer and violinist will be on-hand from 7.30am, our pianist performing from 3.30-5.30pm and our guitarist from 5-5.40pm. Come down any time until 6pm to see our great team handing out wonderful goodies and showing Sheffield we provide broadband that loves you back. If you can't make it, keep a watch on our Periscope channel for videos throughout the day. We’re all about bringing people together here at Plusnet, and Valentine’s Day is sure to bring out the best in the British public. What better way is there to show someone you love them than with a tear-jerking proposal video? From home-made movies and singing flash mobs, to a quaint surprise that’s been caught on camera, read on, as we share with you some of the best proposals found on the web: Liam wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Amy, and he wanted it to be as special as possible. Gathering a selection of his family and friends together, they created a film that was shown on a seemingly regular trip to the cinema with Amy, her sister, and her brother-in-law. Singing along to the song ‘Rude’ by Magic!, Liam surprised Amy and had the entire scene recorded for others to enjoy. Taking musical proposals a step further than Liam’s sheet music company Musicroom decided to help Paul propose to his girlfriend, Lee, in the middle of Oxford Street. With 20 dancers, 13 acapella singers, 2 violinists, a saxophonist, and the groom-to-be himself on guitar, how could she say no? Vlogging is a great way to get your personality out there on the web, which is what Jess does regularly over on her YouTube channel, Beauty Pop. This video, however, starts off like an ordinary Q&A post with Jess and her boyfriend, Michael, until he turns it into the perfect opportunity to propose and catch the whole thing on camera. This next one takes getting down on one knee to the next level, as it starts with a 10,000 ft. drop! Captured on their GoPro cameras, Brandon and Nicole went skydiving above San Diego, and Brandon broke out the ring mid-flight. The sight of them together in the sky is breath-taking, and was made possible by the guys over at GoPro. Rounding off our list is Isaac Lamb, who planned a personal journey for his girlfriend, Amy. Sitting in the back of a car, Amy is driven down their street with friends and family dancing and lip-syncing in front of her to ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars. Not only is everything caught on film, but her reaction to the whole proposal can be seen throughout in the top right hand corner of the video. Do you have something nice planned for Valentine’s Day? Or do you have a wonderful proposal story you want to share? Let us know through Twitter @Plusnet, where we will also be covering today's event live. If you can, come down and see us at Sheffield train station TODAY!
