With all of us having to spend more time at home than ever, over half of Brits are spending more time on their phones than ever, and a fifth admit to feeling unproductive during lockdown. That's why we've teamed up with Frankie Bridge to share our lockdown life hacks - a series of hack videos to help you, your family and friends get the most value out of everyday life during lockdown.
Our helpful hacks include tips to a romantic date night with your loved one, keeping fit on a budget, and using the kids' artwork to make your house a home.
TikTok Dance Hack
Our first life hack includes a nifty trick to using TikTok to keep fit and healthy, all while saving money on online gym classes. We found that over two thirds of Brits are using fitness technology at home during lockdown, and Frankie has regularly been sharing her self-made dance videos online in a bid to keep fit. In the hack video below, Frankie shares her TikTok tip to learning past-faced dance routines, by slowing down the recording to half speed. Give the hack a go - you might not go viral, but you'll definitely save money on those online classes!
DIY Kid's Art Gallery Hack
After moving house many times throughout the years, Frankie has also revealed how she's been making the most of her children’s art to finally make her house a home. Using her children's artwork, her hack video shows how to make the perfect collage wall, which can even be turned into canvas prints for the grandparents. While lockdown has been difficult, our research found some positives. We found that almost half of Brits have said that they feel more connected with family and friends since lockdown, and these gifts are a great way to stay connected to loved ones while spending time apart.
Home Cinema Hack
As a busy family spending all their time at home Frankie admits it’s been hard to find quality time to spend with her husband Wayne Bridge. As a solution, Frankie has shared her tips for an impromptu ‘cinema’ date night. Using a bedsheet and Wayne’s footy goals to create an outdoor cinema on a budget, Frankie pulls together the perfect outdoor setting with candles and cushions, and even shares tips on how you can make your own tickets or film posters if you want to get the whole family involved.
As a provider committed to great value, we wanted to show how we can all do more with the things we have around us. Keep you and the family entertained this week and give these hacks a go, and if you have more money-saving hacks, tell us on social @plusnet.
