Just want to say that although I can only get around 2.8Meg from PN via a 20CN exchange many rural miles away the connection has been very solid, thanks PN.

How does that compare with the BT Wholesale "estimated speed" for your line?

The estimated line speed for the various lines in the village supplied by the same 20CN exchange has increased over the years, a bit like BT's line rental price increases. Some years ago the estimate range of speed for my line used to be 2.5-3.5 Mbps it's now 3.5-5.5 Mbps ..... go figure.
