Sorry I made a typo in my previous post, had a comma in the last thing instead of the dot (now corrected).

What do you get if you put 192.168.1.254 into the address bar of your browser?

Same result, somebody up there does not like me or my computer!

Not to worry anyway. It might sort itself out and if not I'll ask for a refund at the end of this month - other than that, wait until the fibre is connected.

Don't do that - you've got a problem there and this is precisely what the Community is for, to try and help you resolve it - with Plusnet's intervention where needed.

So if 192.168.1.254 does nothing it must give an error message I guess. I think what you had better try next is a factory reset of the modem/router. There's a small pin hole next to the power button on the back it. Use a straightened out paper-clip or similar to press and hold the internal button for  just over 8 seconds until all the lights on the router flash as it goes into reset.

OK, I have got to go out, but will be back later. Someone else may reply if there is obvious help to be given.

Always worth a try doing that I guess. Managed it OK and it reset itself - needed to log back in of course and it took some time go back on line but with no change.

Can you now log into the router using 192.168.1.254 as requested by Anotherone? You'll need your router password.
