Any plans to increase the monthly allowance on Plusnet Value?

I can understand people wanting a bit more usage these days,online gaming & listening to the radio uses up a fair bit of allowances.
I was with IDNET for years & i think it was last year they increased the 10gig to 15 gig for their customers & it made a lot of difference for me & others.
I keep track of my usage every day taking a note of it cutting down the amount of time i go online even to check e-mails & stopped listening to my favourite radio station online as my normal radio reception is bad here.
But that,s life i suppose,the one good thing i like about PN is the customer service is excellent i have found so far so that might keep me here,the usage may be an issue not sure yet.

No, we don't have access to fibre and to be honest at the moment we don't really need the extra speed. The 120Gb allowance would be nice though, at the right price.

I contacted PN directly and here is the official answer:-
The Value package is remaining as is for the time being, however we do have other packages available.

Thanks for the link, I may well do that. I don't really like being on non-standard products though as in my experience they cause billing and support issues. I still think it's time for a product refresh with higher allowances.

Sticking point as always is that people want an increase without additional cost. Personally I don't like the £5 per 5Gb minimum block and wish Plusnet would reintroduce a 1Gb block even if the price per Gb is £1.50 and then an option to buy large blocks at a cheaper price. Taking the maximum you could pay on each package (£12.99 on value and  £17.99 on Extra) that gives a £5 price difference, but a 50Gb usage difference. This does not make sense especially when you compare the traffic prioritisation. The bottom line is that people are happy to be on Value because of the price, but see the bigger cake and want  a piece of that too at no extra cost.

I'd be happy to pay more but as you say, once you've gone over your limit, £5 for 5Gb is way too much.

Wow a whole £6.49 a month for broadband.....  I pay double that for the same package so it could be a lot worse! The only way I can get cheaper is to switch to talk talk and looking at reviews online thats not the smartest move either

We froze the price of Value for over 12 months, so while you were paying 5.99 others were paying 6.49.

Especially when Talk Talk have a brilliant deal available until early Novemberwith pay a year up front line rental which works out at 9.50pm and phone and BB for 5.00pm and their allowance is 40GB so I don't have to keep checking all the time. (sorry, pounds sign has karked!)

well if you read the current edition of Computer Active magazine issue 357, you might think that the dreaded TT was not such a good choice, they have done an ISP comparison and for some obscure reason PN came out top
Think they might have mixed up, maybe not,  12 month contract Value half price £3.24.  total price per month £15.65, cant find that offer on the portal
also a condem from OFCOM on TalkTalk, they forgot that you should talk when you do sales calls to people, told off for doing silent calls from 1st Feb to 23 March this year

Well personally TT would be the very last on my list of choices,i would have to be really desperate to use them.
