Oh great! Another few days without something I've already paid for - will it turn into another few weeks, I wonder...

And no, still no router as of yesterday evening. A private message should be in your inbox as requested.
I'm also going to try and see tonight if broadband is activated for my line - last time that I checked with a router of a friend this was not the case.
Thank you for looking into this again, Adam. Frankly, I'm a bit miffed that after that waiting game with BT for two and a half months, payment for the service has been taken earlier this month by Plusnet, and yet here I am, nearly at the end of the month without any visible sign of me actually getting to use the service.

Quote payment for the service has been taken earlier this month by Plusnet,
Please let me know when you receive the router (which has now been dispatched) and I'll make sure you are credited for this problem.
Adam.

Broadband seems to be fine, going by a few first tentative tests... which, after precisely 3 months since I've ordered it, is quite the relief.
Download speed seems to be around 6.5 mbit/s, which for my location is okay I guess - the upload speed sucks big time, though, it's around 350 kbit/s. Note - these are speed test results, not actual down- or uploads, I just got online with this setup a few minutes ago.

If you are on a 21CN exchange you can ask for your upload speed to be uncapped which may come at the sacrifice of a little of your download speed - you'd probably get approaching 1mbps.
If your exchange is still 20CN you can upgrade to Max Premium, details available from this page: http://trials.plus.net.

But yeah, I'll happily sacrifice 1 mbit/s of the 6 mbit/s of download speed for getting 1 mbit/s upload speed.
Adam, can you tell me where and how I'll have to apply for that? I believe my exchange is 21CN, at least I seem to remember that's what the Plusnet exchange status page said.

Thanks firstly for letting me know about the router, I'll send you a postage-paid returns bag for the second one.
With regards to the speed of your connection, you are already on 21CN, could you please try running a speed tests on the following link then reply to this post:

Quote Download speed achieved during the test was - 6994 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 2000-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :11096 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 8000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 14.86:25.03:60.11 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
and
Quote Upload speed achieved during the test was - 346 Kbps
Additional Information:

So... ...what do I have to do to have my upload speed uncapped as jelv suggested?
