Quote from: goldenfibre I think it time for Plusnet to offer customers a free bt sports like BT did with their customer. Why should we benefits the same way?
Who said it is genuinely free?
Just remember that BT charges a lot more than PN, this is because ALL users are paying an "incorporated" cost, whether they like it or not!!
On that basis, why should users, who are NOT interested in 24/7 sport, subsidise those that are?

Quote from: hillyfields123 You don't necessarily need a Sky subscription, you can make a one-off purchase of a Sky box (From Sky directly or off eBay) and then you can purchase a Freesat from Sky viewing card which is a one off cost of £25 which AFAIK you can register the number of and then you will be allowed access to BT Sport via Freesat.
I'd also need to buy a dish and pay for installation (presumably more expensive if it's not bundled with a subscription), yes? And (referring to the later post) does the free viewing card from Plusnet cover the 'Freesat from Sky' type as well as the standard Sky card?
(Apologies if that's a stupid question. I don't know my way around satellite TV.)

@ grahamt
For us to be able to supply you with BT Sport you would require a Sky box either SD or HD depending on which BT Sport service you require. In addition you would require a satellite dish to receive the signal which needs to be liked to the box. If you require a viewing card we can supply this to you which will allow you to watch the BT Sports package and ESPN plus the standard free channels.

Sky charge £175 for the SkyHD box, satellite dish and installation as well as supplying a viewing card. You own all of the equipment for that cost and so have no obligation to use Sky provided Freesat and could switch to "normal" Freesat at a later date. However by doing this you would lose access to BT Sport.

Sky is a rip off company. I am so glad to get rid of Sky TV.

Sky TV and Freesat From Sky are very different - You have no contractual obligation to stay with Sky under the Freesat package, you just pay them to install the dish and supply the box.
