Changing today

I would like quick reponse if possible. Im on library PC. I am changing from talk talk to plusnet today. My phone has been off for about 3 hours. Do I lose my phone service until broadband is activated?

I'm surprised the phone has been off that long - I would have expected a few minutes. That's all it took when a friend of mine changed over. It's possible that TT might have administratively terminated the service before the BT engineer got to the exchange.
The phone service doesn't depend on broadband being activated.

I ran a line test on the off chance and it found a fault in the exchange, so I've raised it as a fault for you. Information will be added to the ticket on your account as soon as we have any.

Phone came back on at 12:00, along with broadband. Thanks for help
