Hi Kevin,
Have you been on the BT Retail site recently? I can't help but think this will be to do with cookies or your cache. I've flagged this up internally anyway (thanks a lot for providing the screenshot).

Hi Matty,
On this occasion I can say catagorically it is not cookies or cache.  That was on a brand new computer being built for a client, only hours out of the wrappers and had not 'been any where' near BT.com etc.

Re: Chat service now being delivered by "BT Specialists'?

It does rather point to some sharing of customer service technology.
If that is true then there's shame all round...
Shame as this potentially points to a level of migration / consolidation / integration between PlusNET and BT Retail, which I see as very undesirable.
Shame that sharing of customer service technology did not extend to the ability for users to report phone faults / test lines sooner than a couple of months ago.
There again I just might be seeing conspiracy where there is none!

Re: Chat service now being delivered by "BT Specialists'?

We've seen this before.  It's a weird bug to do with the liveperson tech.  Their tech handles both BTs chat and ours, and for some reason it mixes up the sites, usually for cookie reasons.  I've NO Idea why you'd see it on a new PC though Townman, so that needs looking at.
(They should have sorted this ages ago!!!)

@Kelly,
Thank you for the insight.
Note the nearest the PC had been to "BT world" was the FTTC checker.  (usual story of available - not available).

Think yourself lucky then that you didn't get EDF Energy, they use it as well, 240v up your business line would work wonders Crazy
