Compensation for lack of phone, broadband and speed

I was without phone or broadband for 72 hours.  After two pay as you go phone calls, both were15 minutes before I spoke to an operator and costing £10, they offered me £3.06 compensation.  What an insult to a long standing customer, soon to be an ex-long standing customer.  My broadband speed which was sold to me as 17mb is in fact 2.8mb.  How can this be classed as good customer service?

in regards to the phone calls, there is an 0800 number that you could have used (0800 432 0200).

Try 6 weeks with no phone/internet which I just had after a house move and not even an offer of anything from them. If had options to leave I would but I don't As for the speeds you are getting, no one can say anything about them with any router stats

I sympathise with your moan over the cost of your 2 x PAYG calls, but at those prices wouldn't it be a good plan to change tariffs?

e.g. The 3-2-1 tariff from Three costs 3p 2p 1p respectively per 1 minute call, text, 1Mb data; you can top up as little as £5 and you get 120Mb data each time you top up (which expires after 30 days if unused).  Top ups don't expire.

That pre-supposes that a reliable 3 signal is available. I can get a good signal on all but 3  - and 3 is the nearest cell (by about 5m, but much lower power than the other networks).
