I was a bit disappointed by this topic TBH.  I haven't phoned yet, only used live chat. My daughter said if the music from the adverts was the hold music she would phone all the time. How sad is that?

If this really is a serious thread about the hold music then discussing what track to play is pointless.
It ought to be about whether it should be pop, rock, or country and western etc.
And it would need to be at least the top twenty or more so those on hhhooolllddd don't get repeat plays.

How about all of the above, played by a brass band? 
Or have a loop track made by Scott Bradlee in his Postmodern Jukebox style. (youtube it, especially the version of Royals by Puddles Pity Party)

That would depend on a few factors IE: Storage capacity, Memory of said devices, Entertainment Licenses & more
Now if they could link to the callers local online radio station that would be something

Volume is definitely too loud. It would be great if the call system also advised you of your position in the que and gave an estimate ot the time to answer.
I have a a virgin mobile account and they give you the choice of changing your on hold music while you wait.
Not up for a brass band though.
