Re: Disappointment with Plusnet

Awesome service.
Meant to be getting a call from PN today with regards to an “update”. No such call has happened, so I decided to phone PN to go over my options of leaving, as I can get a 80meg line with another provider for cheaper than I am paying PN for a 40meg line (or lack of). I wait on fifteen minutes on hold to get through to a rep, who then puts me on hold for thirty minutes until the phone line just went dead.

Re: Disappointment with Plusnet

I've found HomePlugs to be a godsend. I've got an upstairs non wifi Smart TV and 2 upstairs PC's running flawlessly and have been for some years. My main PC and downstairs TV are on CAT6.
They are the Netgear AV range. 2x500 and 2x200 one of course being the master.
About a year ago, before I got the dual band Asus router, I was having wifi issues so I replaced them with a quad TPlink setup with wifi extenders. Not only did they make the wifi worse they also caused issues with the ethernet devices also giving issues.
Went back to the Netgears and all has been fine since.
Let's be careful out there !

Will bear that in mind, thanks.
I'm a little worried though as at my old flat the bt face plate had a small square plug in point (not ethernet and not phone line). I had a cable coming off my router that plugged into that, but in my new house I don't seem to have that same connection in the open reach point 😕
