First experience with Plusnet and extremely disappointed

Just to add to Anotherone excellent post, the quiet phone line test needs to be done with an old fashioned corded phone (not a DECT wireless type) plugged directly into the BT master phone socket.

Quite correct there georgelnx, I really should say that automatically with regard to using a corded phone, though initially any phone in it's regular socket will do. If noises are heard then it's a process of elimination, the ultimate check would be the corded phone in the Test Socket
