Re: Great.....

If you want to cancel your account then going to https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=account_summary should give you all the outstanding charges you would be liable for on cancellation
By the way mobile internet also give speeds in kbps or Mbps the same as the fixed line suppliers

Hi CaptainH,
If you want to close your account then you'd have to call our customer options team on 0800 432 0200 9.00am-5.30pm Mon-Fri but you would be subject to any cancellation charges. As a matter of interest how fast is your mobile internet?

Re: Great.....

well i havent used it for a while, and now i have found out about the misleading MB and MB then i couldnt say the exact speeds, all i can say is it is slightly faster, and works consistantly all day long, rarely does the speed drop.
this page shows £25, £25 and £40 upon cancellation, i'd gladly pay that at the moment.
Also i have just checked that the closest exchange from me is actually down my road, about 500 meters away, so, well i give up tbh haha.

Re: Great.....

You haven't actually posted the results of any speed tests here - PlusNet have advised that you are synched at 8128, the maximum for an up to 8Mb service. Your OP said that it was OK for the first couple of weeks, then fell off.
Can you try a BT Speedtest and post the results?

Re: Great.....

no jaggies, i cant.
i dont know, nor will i learn how to post a pic on here, nor do i have the patience to do more speedchecks showing me SPEEDS I DO NOT GET.
I apologise if you find it hard to believe me because the almighty plusnet told me my speeds are fine via the forum.

Re: Great.....

My loss started when i ordered plusnet broadband, its my loss that i dont use another service, not that i cant be bothered to post pics on a forum for someone to inspect, that, sir, is not a loss. I am confident that me posting speed checks wont make my internet faster.
I'm done here, formal complaints will be made.

Re: Great.....

you will have to learn as there is no way a mobile Dongle will give higher speed than an 8128 synch fixed line

Re: Great.....

Prove it lol.
I disagree, my source: personal experience, i am telling you now, my dongle was faster and more consistant then this, there is no doubt about it.
You need to realise, your a fan of plusnet, i can see by how much time you spend on the forums, your internet with them obviously works fine, you may even have fibre by now, i dont, i have inferior, second rate internet with lower then the speeds i paid for.
im done, im bored of trying to get what i paid for, i guess thats easier said then done nowadays.

Re: Great.....

My Orange dongle managed at most 2.4mb/s when it was in 3G mode.
0.3 mb/s in 2G mode.
Then, I moved to PlusNet....

I was measured and promised 17mb/s before I signed up to Plusnet....

You don't even need to post a pic, just select all of the text it returns, copy that and then paste it into your reply... (the images that the BT speedtest shows aren't necessary, so don't worry about that)
There's clearly an issue with your connection here, and people seem to be more than willing to help, so you might as well at least provide the requested information and let them take a shot!
