Help and Support - Link to service status fails

https://www.plus.net/help/ and clicking on Service Status at the bottom gives this in Firefox

2017-01-11_145134.jpg

But it works in Internet Explorer

This is the failed link https://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&%2525252525252525253fhelpheader=servicestatus

This is the successful one http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&%3fhelpheader=servicestatus

Re: Help and Support - Link to service status fails

It was clicking links just like these that got my IP banned click with caution!

@Oldjim

Just a couple of minutes ago I had the same issue.

http://portal.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2 works.

Re: Help and Support - Link to service status fails

These pages (can) contain cyclic redirect code and as a consequence they hammer the servers looking up their own behinds. This then triggers an alarm that for me resulted in a ban! Sad

No reply from @Oldjim yet, maybe he's got himself banned Funny

Re: Help and Support - Link to service status fails

We've a ticket raised on this one and it's being investigated (ref: 96169).

In the interim, I'd suggest against repeated clicks in case you end up on the wrong side of our security systems 😉

PS. If you clear your cookies and avoid any of the mobile pages then I suspect the problem will go away.

Re: Help and Support - Link to service status fails

Plusnet have had a number of these internal routing issues over the years and always seem to struggle in resolving them quickly.

I wonder if some of this cyclic re-routing is the root cause of a number of the recent performance issues?

Nothing to do with any of the broadband performance issues Maurice.

fwiw - Firefox using noscript -> googleanalytics.com and googletagmanager.com blocked plus ghostery and no problems at all here (unless it's already been fixed....?)

... and once banned it seems it's impossible to get it lifted even though it's Plusnet's fault!
