Quote from: BenTrimble @Orkney
The Direct Debit has already been requested so we cannot stop this from our side. I wouldn't recommend cancelling the mandate at your bank because restrictions will be placed on your account when payment fails which will take further time and costs to resolve.
If you want to progress a fault without performing any internal equipment / wiring checks then that's fine by us, so long as you're aware that there will be a £164.50 charge if the fault is proven to be with either your internal wiring or equipment.
I tried to call you to discuss your options and left a message. If you'd like our help then just please let us know.
I have already cancelled the Direct Debit before and will do so again if need be. DON'T threaten me as I've already been threatened enough by your staff. I will not answer any more imput from you as you're obviously a liar and doing this because it's on the forum. You did NOT call me and you have NOT left me a message and as for the £164.50 charge you would need to ask your parent company BT to pay that for me as they're not allowed in the house. I live on Orkney not England (where I was born) But the madness still follows you. You have 24 hours or I'll cancel the direct debit and you can give me a MAC code... FOR THE 3rd time!

No ISP is without their faults, I cannot fault Plusnet (Force9) because I've been with them almost 10 years and only had 1 issue (which admittedly, did go bad but Mand kicked some butt and I was very pleased with the outcome), so because I've had no issues (other than one) my experience with F9 has been over-all positive, the same goes for anyone who has no issues, overall positive. People who are having issues will find negative thoughts about that issue, it's just the way it goes, with another ISP though you couldn't really jump on their forums and complain about it.

I'm sorry if you feel that I'm a liar, I'm happy to call you whenever's convenient for you - just PM me. To investigate any fault, a BT engineer would need to test from inside your property. If you're not willing to allow this then there's nothing that we can do to improve your connection.
If you cancel your Direct Debit then restrictions will be placed on your account. We will, however, be happy to only charge you the correct amount as opposed to refunding any incorrectly charged amount.
If you would like your MAC then please call our Customer Options Team on 0845 140 6002.
As before, the offer for help is always open.

Quote from: David I'd say, it doesn't matter what anyone says, you yourself have already made up your mind that you are going and want people to support you in that decision. You may get a better line on LLU (if available) otherwise your speeds with another ISP will remain the same, you will lose having the forums like PN have (so can nag at the staff, and ask for help/advice) and may end up with a call centre in India.

You must obviously work for Plus net!
Firstly, you're a racist as why wouldn't I want to call an Indian call centre? BT use them for their broadband and they are fine. Isn't it better to call and get through to India and for them to solve your problem rather than Yorkshire where they don't solve ANY of your problems? Don't you like Indians? Where do you live? Certainly not in Yorkshire for sure!
Plusnet uses call centres other than in the UK but not Indian... Do you approve of that?
I don't want to go but I want fair treatment. How many times would you let me dip into your bank account and take what I wanted? Once? Twice? Three ot more times? I doubt it very much. If you're so pleased with force9 or plusnet or BT or madasafish or any of the other names that lead back to BT please send me your bank account details by PM. Thanks.

Quote from: BenTrimble Our Development Team have now fixed the underlying problem so there is no reason for your billing to be incorrect again.
I was told that last month and the month before and the month before etc. So? Prove they've solved it... reissue my bill? I'd call Sam S But as he's not done the job he promised last month so I doubt if that would help.

Attachment 1 (callfeatures.PNG) shows that the monthly cost for features is now £0, and gives you the option to add caller display.
Attachment 2 (scheduledpayments.PNG) shows only the scheduled payment for your new package, not the old one.

Ben... What about Sam S last month? He reduced the monthly payment of £19.99 to £18.00 for as long as I stay with you? I know it's hard for people to understand but folk up here have to pay more for everything including Broadband and I know that Plus.net have to pay BT more because there's only copper wire up here. All that's going to be dealt with by Government because it's unfair, but I'm from England and never saw the light until I moved up here at how unfairly people are treated even in our own United Kingdom.

Nope, just a happy customer.

That's the first time I've ever been called a racist, I have however been on the (violent) end of racism directed at myself. Do I like Indians? Yes, in fact I make a special effort to avoid the supermarket and purchase at my local (Indian run) store to support the local business, I live in Cornwall which does, yes, provide a major issue. Down here it's very rare to have people from other countries, so we rarely get to hear the accent on a regular basis which means when we do have to deal with Indian call centres, it makes it a lot more difficult to understand what the call centre staff are saying, does that make me racist or practical?
Quote Plusnet uses call centres other than in the UK but not Indian... Do you approve of that?
As long as I can understand what the person is saying, I don't care where they are located, Sky is based in Scotland and I can understand the Scottish accent, PN is based in South Africa and I can understand the South African accent, I however cannot understand thick accents which I do not hear except when on the telephone.

Which PN will sort out, you had a problem on your end, they asked you to do basic trouble shooting (which anyone on this forum would ask you to do also) to make sure the problem isn't with internal wiring or your router, you refused to do that and blame PN, it would take all of 5 minutes to plug your router into the master socket and that would rule out an issue with wiring, PN would then be able to run diagnostic tests and if they find a problem get BT out to try and fix it, but, that relies on *you* taking pro-active control over the issue too, if you were not to do that and BT were sent out only to find no problem, you would get charged a call out fee.

Quote from: BenTrimble You have £1.99 discounts scheduled for the next 11 months (we can only schedule them for 12), you can see the first one redeemed from your invoice in your original post. This brings your subscription down from £19.99 to £18.
Ben... OK we'll leave it at that for now and see how things go next month and I'll have to wait to see if I get yet another refund. I'll go to the exchange sometime and ask them about the faults as I know where they are coming from...Everyone knows everyone when you live on an Island of dreams. BT come out for FREE here if you ask them to because there are no laws, no crime and no racism and the locals say like [mremoved] BT same as they do about the Police... It's a bit like the Wild West!
I lived in the same street as the winner of Big Brother series 1 and now live in the next field to the winner of Big Brother series 4! Let's play by their rules and cancel the eviction for this Friday!

Cornish eh? That explains it all! Get real! A Cornish man just did my bathroom and said he wouldn't go back to live there for anything because it's full of 'foreigners', tourists and crime! And, for your information my router is always in the MAIN BT socket.
I can't understand the people up here either but I don't use that as an excuse for not having an Indian call centre.
How's your famous Alex Parkes going on? Or are you against gays too
