warbleeder, if you had paid the bill on time then none of this would have happened.
you are certainly not the innocent in this whole debacle. you created this mess by not paying the bill.
plusnet are not innocent either, but neither are you.

Nope ....I was disputing part of the bill that's why I did not pay right away..... But dispute got ignored....I wanted to know why I was getting charged for mobile calls when I had mobile package on my account! I also had to pay the disconnection fee that I was told would be weaved! (Bill is paid) ......and after I pay I still get letters saying I ow £99.....
And chenk if you knew anything about billing you would also know if a bill is been disputed the end user has the legal right to refuse to pay said bill until has resolution has been reached.....
And Chris I posted on wrong thread last time sorry

And you received no reminders about the fact that you were in arrears?
You probably still get the letters as you appear to have settled directly with Plusnet, so the recovery agency need to be informed about this.

If you told the "debt agency" the first time they contacted you that your were in dispute with the company and had disputed the bill, then the agency had no right to contact you again!

Out of curiosity you may want to dig in to the Debt Agency to see who owns it and where it's registered. IIRC some power companies when sending out these sort of letters were in fact coming from fictitious companies, or the company itself was owned by the power company in question.

Re above
The Companies House Webcheck Beta gives much more detail than the old Webcheck, should one wish to find information on a company, its directors and other companies they're associated with. That's where I would go to dig dirt.

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.
