I switched from Talktalk (Homephone and Broadband) a few days ago and was pleased at how well it went technically. However, I was without Broadband for the best part of 2 days - just a couple of hours without a phone. I never did receive a text to notify that B/B had been switched on although I did get one for Homephone, which I didn't really need. The B/B one was important as I had no email access.
I telephoned several times and on each occasion was told I would be getting a text when switched on. My last call to Plusnet got the confirmation that I could connect my router.

Hi, really sorry to hear that - I'll take a look and feed back on that as switchovers certainly shouldn't work that way. Hope things are a lot less shaky going forward for you, please drop a post in here if there's anything at all that we can help with.
