Hi there,
I've just read back through the thread and can't make out what your question actually is I'm afraid - is it regarding the phone and broadband being down at the same time, or are you referring to the question of the install dates?

This is my question Matt. Its in relation to your post 13 which you say my broadband was live with you from the 9th Jan, which Isnt the case. Im still with BeThere.

My original question was in relation to what I was told about migration of Phone and Broadband. I was told my Broadband would go first, then the phone a week later. Ive had it confirmed my broadband is coming on the 23rd, so the question is merely asking to clarify if both the phone and BB can be done at the same time. If it can, your sales team need to be told as it conflicts with the information they are providing. Or is this a misunderstanding with terminology?

Thanks for that, sorry I missed it. The appointment date on the order is set for the 23rd Jan in the afternoon between 1pm and 6pm, hope that sets your mind at rest.

Not really as it doesn't answer the question, though thanks for clorrecting the erroneous information you posted previously saying it was happening on the 9th (which started this chain of doubts!)
Can you answer the question regarding phone and BB being done at the same time. Your sales team say the phone must be done normally 2 weeks later and cant be done at the same time.And now it's being done at the same time. Great if it is, but clearly your sales team (and it was told twice when I called) need to be aware and not give out false info.)
So my BB is being installed on the 23rd between 1 and 6......... And my phone line is happening at exactly the same time? (You're reply doesn't make this clear at all and it's been asked several times now.)

I've checked and your phone service is due to be activated on the 23rd too. So, sorry for any confusion.

Where as this is only possible under certain circumstances it's something we've obviously been able to do for yourself. I will have a look at the history of your account and see if this is something that can be addressed.

Sorry once more. The date on the phone order is also set for the 23rd though no appointment is required.
To erase any doubt: The phone transfer is set to complete on the 23rd, and the Fibre broadband order will likewise complete on the 23rd when the engineer attends in the afternoon.
As far as I understand it the phone line will work throughout (though there may be a brief outage when the order is completed, hopefully overnight).
EDIT: Not sure if this adds anything that Adam didn't cover but I'll post it nontheless.

Ok thanks guys.
Like I said in the beginning, I was very pleased it was being done on the same day until the doubts came into play from what I'd been told.
Baring in mind I have paid a year in advance on 26 December have been told a few different "activation" dates, but confirmed installation of Phone and BB for 23 Jan, can you look into my account to make sure the billing start date will be accurately maintained?
One last thing - and it's only a concern after seeing lots of "missed appointments" listed here! Does BT reconfirm the appointment the day before / on the day? Not an issue if they don't, but would put my mind at rest if that was the case.

Hi Les,
The phone contract won't start until that goes active, so your LRS will be fine and billed as you say above. However the broadband portion of the account has activated (as the original order date was the 9th) so we'll need to refund you that portion of the fee when the account does go active on the 23rd - don't worry though, we'll make sure that's all sorted.
As for the appointment, that is confirmed already so you should be fine there. Yes mishaps do happen but we've done all we can in this case to make sure it doesn't here.
