Thank you Oldjim. Now I can access the portal in FF.  But I keep getting repeated "allow/deny/allow this session" box.  Any ideas?

Yes, there is in options -->Contents Tab --> Block Pop-Up Windows is ticked.

Mine isn't but I have no idea why that is classed as a popup

It worked yesterday and today it giving me the same old page not found error despite my setting the portal.plus.net to allow as suggested yesterday.  So, there is something on FF I am missing.

I'm not sure what else you could try Chandu, maybe remove and re-add your pop-up blocker?
I'd not dwell on it too much if it's just an issue with the one page which works OK in another browser.

Thanks for your help.  The issue appears to have been sorted using AdwCleaner, which I had heard of through PN Forum.  A great programme.
