These problems are why my email accounts are web based, accessed POP by Apple Mail, and also auto forward all emails to other separate accounts, including PlusNet, so if there is a problem with one I have "backups" in my other accounts.
Other ISP's have similar problems too occasionally, hence the above.
Two of my backup services also allow me to reply to and send emails as if from my main account addresses, very useful.

I can't report in great detail I'm afraid as I'm not at work right now however I am aware that this is still an issue. I've been assured that work is still under way to get things back up and running.
Sorry to hear this is taking longer to fix than was originally expected, I'll update this thread again if I hear anything more.

Seems to be as bad as ever - just been asked for my e-mail password again.
And this time the main plusnet page is down, and so is the service status page.
The first report was for this to have been sorted a while back (like, by 5.30pm) - is there any news?

IMAP and POP3 both seem OK now (for the moment). SMTP isn't.

In my innocence I thought that if Sheffield went down then services would still be available from London, and vice versa, and that was the main advantage of operating from two widely-spaced locations.
Clearly, if that was the intention, then it doesn't work. Or are there major failures at both sites at the same time?
Or is a fortnight of bank holidays just too much for any system?

Although PlusNet can't display or update the service status page, it is giving updates on Twitter.

Assuming it hasn't changed, then connectivity is in London, but the services like Portal, Email etc. are all in Sheffield.

Outlook E-mail is down as has been pointed out but also my ping has gone from 5 to over 60 all day. Just letting you know incase something else needs to be fixed.

Well, according to the service status page, which I can now access again, there's nothing wrong! 
Still can't reach the webmail, however my Outlook mail appears to be working OK!

Was great to see Adam the off duty PlusNet guy to post............................but hang on mo, what about those still working in the hothouse.  As far as I can tell no one has posted to explain officially what the heck has gone wrong and when a full resolution will be achieved 
As Tigger says is the status page says AOK (I take that to be a "green") why is it not on "amber" to reflect that it is still being monitored???
