So, Chris - does that mean you are happy that I simply move her to an alternative lower cost provider without further discussion. Because that is the alternative.
I don't want to be critical, but should your question really be formed as an ad hominem question (veiled attack) on Chris? Undecided Smiley
Whatever he may think, he has to answer according to company policy. That's just the way of the world!

That is not ad hominem. No attack, veiled or otherwise. Just a question framed to ensure plusnet are aware of the consequence of their policies.

I've then had to put the account owner on the phone (the managing director) simply to say "Yes" to the charges.  Other than the caller being clearly of the opposite gender to the named account owner, I cannot see that PlusNet can have any assurance who they are talking to....  Roll_eyes

Yup - been there done that. In my case it was my mother-in-law who had absolutely no clue about any of her details so there she is reading the questions out to me (username, password, etc) and I'm providing the answers. It felt like a Monty Python sketch and would've laughed had it not been so embarrassing for all concerned.

I had a similar call on behalf of my wife but with Barclays. Unfortunately, as my wife never remembers her details, I was prompting her but the agent heard and went through even more security questions so I ended up writing the answers down for her. Like you said, more like a Monty Python sketch Roll_eyes
