I appreciate you may think that we're dragging our heels with this one because you see there being only 2 elements that need to changed (a new number and an update to the portal) however I think you may be perceiving these changes as being easier than they actually are.
I won't get into the deep depths of our internal development, testing and system processes but as I mentioned before, there are a lot of different things that a change like this touches and we need to ensure that this change is done correctly.
Any number of issues could be passed through the gating processes if we were to rush something like this and ignore protocol. As previously mentioned, we are working on this and we will make the necessary changes as soon as we can.

Surely editing your website to add a number takes a few minutes at best ?

So why has it taken excess of 2 years to fix a serious issue ?

@I.T.Works
As we've mentioned before, although it's a simple HTML change it still needs to go through the correct processes internally and be merged in with other development work ongoing so it doesn't get overwritten in future. Making ad-hoc changes to our sites and systems without going through the correct process is a bad idea.

how many actually person(s) / delaying it, does this have to go through ?
How long to actually implement a fix to a simple HTML change ?
You could / should have make / made a reference to the number change on the site, in the meantime, whilst you await a permanent non overwrite fix

As Chris has said, we have internal processes which we go by before making any changes. We have other projects being worked alongside each other, as well as release cycles. It's really important that we don't make any changes that could potentially cause those other projects to become problematic.
I can see how it looks from your POV, however, it's not as simple as making the change to the code. I'm not going into what our processes are, but they are there for a reason.

<p>Place your text . Numeric numbers here 01234567890</p>
Replaced
<p>Place your text / Numeric numbers here 09876543210</p>
Thus no change in the code required / Thus 2 will not d=break the code (If one knows what they are doing) or have you got to outsource the work ?
I appreciate that it could also be done by DIV tag(s) etc however the principle remains the same
I did not ask what the processes are, as I clearly asked (will now be highlighted in bold, for clarification) & was answered in a typical political / diplomatic way, avoiding the actual questions
Quote from: TORPC Approx 1 second in each department to say yes go ahead & make the changes, to the number, 5 minutes to get between departments, (how many department /

As you can see, I asked for figures, in numerical form, not a sermon on the "Processes"
Considering this is clearly a Legal matter
It is coming across like all the other (we (PlusNet are working on it for over 2 yrs & wont get anything done etc)
Whilst I appreciate that you would like a permanent fix that can not be overridden, a simple change of text should suffice for now (Should it not) ??

I was referring to making changes across the board, not limited to this issue/discussion.

FFS Its the same question being asked over and over and over again in different ways. Just refer back to the previous answers.
