Offers not correct

Just out of curiosity, I have checked what offers I could get from Plusnet. All I was offered was ADSL, despite the fact I am currently on FTTC, and can get FTTP - are BT Consumer trying to lose customers?

Re: Offers not correct

John,

Is that just on the Plusnet site or is it the same on the BTw checker ?

Re: Offers not correct

Just on PN, @MisterW . BTw (and my current provider) both say I can have FTTP - which I know anyway, as I have been notified by Zen, and the checker shows a 1-stage installation.

Re: Offers not correct

How recently has FTTP become available ? I wonder if the PN site hasn't updated somehow ?

Re: Offers not correct

Is your exchange Fibre priority ?

Re: Offers not correct

@Mustrum Thanks for that - I've already checked, and it says In I can get ADSL/FTTC/FTTP - as I know I can, but PN say i can only get ADSL, which I know is wrong, because the BTw checker AND my ISP say I can get ADSL/FTTC/FTTP. I actually saw OpenReach installing and checking the CBT's.

Re: Offers not correct

@jab1    just thought there might be something hidden in the DSL checker.

On the other hand maybe it is PN winding down and all they are offering now 😇

Re: Offers not correct

@Mustrum Nope - used that, this time using the recommended UPRN reference, and it says exactly the same as the BTw checker. Thanks anyway.👍

So they are winding down to an ADSL-only supplier then? 😂

ADSL is all Plusnet offer in my area (guaranteed download speed of 2.5Mbps!)

But to be fair, that is all Openreach make available. Luckily we have an altnet.

Why are landlines being phased out?

 Package and speed details

  • 67.3Mb minimum guaranteed speed

  • 17 - 18Mb estimated upload speed
  • £0 activation fee, was £20
  • Broadband only, no phone line required
  • Hub Two router included
  • Plusnet SafeGuard and Plusnet Protect powered by Norton included

@corringham But I know full well I can get ADSL (not that I want it), FTTC (which I am currently on) and FTTP (which I am extremely likely to order next week).
