Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

I just don't see any benefit in having Youview.
1. I already have Freeview.
2. I have an internet-capable TV which already has BBC I-player and Demand 5 included. I can get ITV Player and 4oD on my computer.
I'm definitely in the "not interested" group!

Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

well they're unlikely to develop their own, so it's YouView, Vision or Sky.... YouView would be the likeliest candidate.

I'm not sure Orange do TV anymore, or EE as they are called these days

Aren't BT moving over to YouView based service also?

Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

Even though I've already got a smart TV with a built in PVR, I find using it to be a horribly fiddly experience, so I'm still quite interested in getting a YouView box...
If you could make the sign up fee cheap/free, and spread the cost of ownership out over a couple of years, then I'd definitely consider it. Considering how cheaply I imagine Plusnet could get the boxes, something like £10 per month with a 2 year contract seems pretty reasonable.
Having said that, it would probably require a reshuffle of your products, as selling it along with a 10/40/60GB cap wouldn't make much sense...

Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

On BT, when a TV service is taken, I understand that any bandwidth used by that service is not counted towards any monthly allowance (obviously only applicable on those packages that aren't unlimited bandwidth).

Myself along with other customers of plusnet have been asking about PN TV for some time.

Where did you get this from?  Certainly not borne out by this thread Roll_eyes

Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

TV is something we've thought about (and continue to do so) as to not consider it leaves us susceptible to those that do provide it. There's no firm plans but we are certainly considering it.

Re: Plusnet TV How much would you pay?

@warbleeder - what are you expecting PN to offer for that extra monthly cost?
